Yes, I am coincidental runner..

Running is getting a lot of attention these few years here in Malaysia with the popularity gaining a lot of attentions from a housewives to white collar professional. But when asked why they start running, I bet the main answer would be just to keep active, trying to loose weight and some self achievement.

I start running because I wanted to maintain my weight. I want to be always active. But to join the running community whereby those that joined numerous numbers of races and events are not in my mind. So far I did 3 races. 10k, 21k (Half Marathon) and 12k. So to call myself an active runner, maybe not, but I think I'm a coincidental runner.

Me and Han Sia at Men's Run 2010
This came about when I met a newly met friend of a friend from my last race event Men's Health / Shape Magazine Run who are actually my eldest brother's ex-school mate. This friend of a friend just started running and they were messaging inside Facebook and my brother was saying that his friend just started running just like me who become a coincidental runner. Well, I think he's right. But I think that most of the runners out there also at first was coincidental runner too.

I'm taking a few weeks break or maybe days from this month of Ramadan. Not because I'm too tried for a run, but I can't find a good time to run. Later around 4pm till iftar, I have to get ready for the meal. Later on, going to Mosque for the solat and then prolly sleep after. Woke up at 4am to get ready for the meal in the morning. So.. it's quite impossible to squeeze the time, I do miss running terribly.

This is just a short entry.. going back to my Beijing story next update.
